Welcome to Amsterdam
Amsterdam is one of the most livable and tolerant cities in the world. Stunning and Picturesque, Amsterdam (the Venice of the North) is filled with hundreds of years of rich history, industrious & friendly people, and some of the best museums in the world. Amsterdam is an incredibly livable and well planned city that you will visit as a tourist but want to stay to call home. Venture away from its main tourist drag and explore its canals and multiple districts, savor beer and local snacks at the many Brown Cafe's, and fill your evenings with the excitement that its many neighborhoods, restaurants, and clubs have to offer.
The recommendations on this website are from Amsterdam's Centrum area such as De Wallen/Red Light District, Jordaan, Central, Southern Canal, De Pijp, Oud West, & the Museum Quarter. Other more residential areas of Amsterdam such as the Noord district and areas south & east of De Pijp are not featured as we did not have the opportunity to travel to these parts of the city.
