Schiphol Airport: Schiphol is an international airport from which you can travel on to Amsterdam, other parts of The Netherlands and around Europe. You can take a train from the airport to Central Station (15-20 minutes) for around 4 euros a person or you can take a taxi to Amsterdam for around 35-40 euros. Please note if you have several bags it is more expensive but a lot easier to take a taxi. Traveling to other countries through air is actually quite affordable and in some cases can be less expensive then travel by rail.
