-Cafe Alto (an intimate and funky Jazz bar/club a little southeast of Melkweg, southern canal ring)

-Cotton Club Niewmarket, one of the oldest jazz clubs in Amsterdam. This club may be temporarily closed so check the website or call.

-Melkweg (historic venue & cultural center for big name international and European acts)

-Paradiso (another historic venue hosting musical acts from around the world)

-AFAS Live (formerly Heineken Music Hall) A large music venue holding around 5500 people. This venue hosts large international pop and rock acts and DJ's. 

-Bimhaus  A larger Jazz & world music venue east or central station on the waterfront located next to the Muziekgebouw concert hall on the waterfront.

-Cafe Casablanca  A great jazz music club located on the northern edge of the red light district.
